A Medical System With Thousands of Years Behind It
Chinese medicine has spent thousands of years refining how to use herbs — in combination, in the right doses, for the right person. What survived that long wasn't just theory. It was what worked, repeatedly, across vastly different patients and conditions. Because two patients with the same diagnosis often need completely different formulas.
At Everybody Healing Center, herbal medicine starts with a full assessment of how your body is functioning, not just the symptom that brought you in. From that picture, Dr. Chris builds a formula specific to your pattern, prescribed alongside acupuncture to accelerate and deepen your results. As your body changes, your formula changes with it.
The goal isn't long-term dependence on a formula. It's a body that works better on its own. If you're expecting a pill for your problem, this will be an adjustment. But if the pill-for-your-problem approach hasn't worked, you're in the right place.

What Chinese Herbal Medicine Can Do
Herbal medicine gives your body's systems what they need to regulate themselves again. Used alongside acupuncture, herbal formulas can extend and deepen the changes that treatment begins.
Think of it the way you'd think about a significant dietary change — removing something your body was reacting to doesn't just fix one thing, it shifts your immune response, your energy, your baseline. Herbs work on that same level, systematically, over time.
Clinical experience and TCM practice show that herbal medicine may help:
-
Support hormonal and reproductive system regulation
-
Improve circulation to specific organs and tissues
-
Reduce chronic inflammation
-
Calm an overactive or dysregulated nervous system
-
Strengthen digestive function
-
Support the body's natural recovery processes
Many patients begin to notice meaningful shifts within the first few weeks of consistent herbal use.
Over time, patients often experience reduced symptom intensity, better regularity, improved energy and sleep, more stable digestion, and a body that feels less like it's working against itself.

Why Choose Our Traditional Chinese Medicine Healing Center
Everybody Healing Center is for people who want real relief and kind, evidence-based care.

Our approach is gentle, not aggressive. Our approach is gentle, not aggressive. Some herbal remedies can be intense and invasive, but that is not how we operate. We are not prescribing high-dose single herbs or chasing dramatic short-term reactions. We work with your body’s existing systems and adjust as you respond.

We manage your care as part of a bigger picture. Chinese medicine at EHC is integrated with your acupuncture care and coordinated with your broader medical team. If you're working with an OB/GYN, fertility specialist, or other provider, we communicate with them directly.

We can treat you from anywhere. Remote herbal consultations are available. A detailed intake questionnaire and a photo of your tongue give us what we need to assess your pattern and prescribe accordingly. Formulas ship directly to you, always sourced ethically and transparently.

FAQs about Traditional Chinese Medicine
What is traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)?
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete medical system with over 2,000 years of documented clinical practice. It uses tools like acupuncture, herbal medicine, and pulse and tongue diagnosis to assess how the body’s systems are functioning as a whole — and to treat the patterns behind symptoms rather than symptoms in isolation. It is a distinct medical framework with its own diagnostic logic and its own body of clinical evidence.
Does traditional Chinese medicine really work?
For the conditions we treat most often (chronic pain, hormonal imbalance, digestive dysfunction, fertility concerns, and stress-related conditions) yes, and our patient outcomes reflect that. Research into TCM is ongoing and growing. The clinical tradition behind it runs considerably deeper than the published studies, but the two are increasingly pointing in the same direction. The most honest answer is: it works when it’s practiced correctly and matched to the right patient. That’s what we do.
How long does it take to see results?
It depends on how long the condition has been present and how your body responds. Most patients begin to notice shifts within the first few weeks of consistent use. Chronic conditions that have been present for years take longer to shift than acute ones. Your formula and timeline will be discussed clearly at your consultation.
Can I take Chinese herbs alongside fertility treatments or other medical protocols?
In almost all cases, yes. Being on medication does not automatically mean you cannot take Chinese herbs. We usually have patients take herbs two hours apart from any medications. The main concern is not that herbs will hurt someone. It is that some herbs, medications, foods, and teas can use or affect the same enzymatic pathways the body relies on to process and respond to medication. Spacing herbs and medications apart helps reduce that overlap. We review your medications as part of your intake and factor them into what we prescribe.
Will my OB/GYN or fertility specialist be okay with this?
Some are, some aren't — and we don't work around that, we work through it. We contact your care team directly, send progress reports, and make sure everyone treating you knows what you're taking and why. If a provider has concerns, we want to know about them. Coordinated care is the standard here, not the exception.
Is Chinese medicine covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by plan. Some patients use HSA or FSA funds for herbal consultations and acupuncture. It’s best to verify with your provider directly. We’re happy to provide a courtesy benefits check at your initial consultation so you understand your options before committing to anything.
